I have been using this for almost a week now. Initial thoughts: way better than the Mary Kay facial cleanser I was using! Plus, it's less expensive ... So that's a plus.
The first two days I used it twice a day and I didn't have problems. By the third day,I had to cut down to once a day, otherwise my skin became dry. But, it made things easier!
It's very difficult to wash off my face, since its made of crushed walnut shell. I have found that using it in the shower is the easiest and most effective way to use this product.
You don't want to press extremely hard to exfoliate, like you might want to on other products to make them more effective. Alba works by gently rubbing the skin, no scrubbing necessary.
Honestly, I was impressed from the first time I tried using it. My face was beyond clean. It took off the dirt and oil, plus it exfoliated. What it did not do is that it didn't make my face shiny like Mary Kay does.
I have changed brands officially!
